WHAKATANE MEN’S CLUB Weather prohibited play in the second qualifying round of the championships last Saturday and it will now be played next Saturday. An inter-club match played against Te Puke on Sunday resulted in a win for Whakatane by 19 games to 8. * A team from Whakatane is going to Tauranga on Sunday next and at the moment there is insufficient transport available. If any club member is available and is able to take his car would he please get in touch with the Club Captain. * TE TEKO LADIES’ CLUB Members of the Te Teko Ladies’ Golf Club should note that this week a Medal round will be played for the President’s and Captain’s points players in conjunction with the first qualifying rOund for the club championships. The following is the draw:— Thursday: Mrs L. B. Smith and Mrs Caldwell; Mrs Goodwin and Miss Murray; Mrs Balfour and Mrs Mcßride; Mrs Thomas and Miss Knight; Mrs Moulden and Mrs Burr; Mrs Hutton and Mrs Cannell; Mrs Cradock and Miss Brooks.

Sunday: Mrs Anderson and Miss Linsell; Mrs Thomas and Miss Walker.

The one-club competition played last week resulted: ‘B’ grade, Mrs Moulden 119—36—83. ‘C’ grade, Mrs Mcßride 126.
