EXPORT FIGURES

MOST CARS TO NEW ZEALAND British export figures for January show that'New Zealand, is at the moment, Britain’s best customer, having taken 168 cars in that month. Eire is the next with 108 cars, and the Channel Islands third with 103. When the detailed figures are compared with the monthly average for 1938 it is seen, however, that there is still a long way to go before a comparable export business is again attained. Indeed, the total fqr the month of January—l23o—-is only a fraction over one-third of the monthly average for 1938.
