R.S.A.

EXECUTIVE MEETING ASSISTANCE TO WIDOWS Mr Dave Wilson (vice-president) presided over the monthly meeting of the Executive. Apologies were received from Messrs. L. H. Brown, C. R. Wilson, G. W. Mexted and R. Bluett. It was decided to hold the annual Smoko in the Winter Show Buildings on Saturday, August 24. An immediate grant was made to a serviceman in distress and it was decided to apply to R.S.A. Headquarters for further assistance. Regret was expressed at the lack of respect paid by the public to funerals passing through the Borough and County and the secretary was instructed to publish a letter in the local paper in this connection.

Members were asked to obtain and submit names of widows of deceased servicemen with children who required assistance in matters of education and in other directions.
