WHAKATANE LADIES’ CLUB On Wednesday 14th and Saturday 17th August the first of three qualifying rounds will be played in conjunction with an Extra Medal round.
The draw for Wednesday will be Mrs Berg and Mrs Fogerty; Miss Black and Miss Robins; Mrs Combes and Mrs Symmans; Mrs Suckling and Mrs Dawson; Mrs Dewar and Miss Reynolds; Mrs Sloane and Miss Hyland; Mrs Spence and Mrs Grey;- Mrs Winstone and Mrs Wilson; Mrs Fraser and Mrs Otley; Mrs Rangi and Mrs Semmens; Mrs Breckon and Mrs Connell; Mrs McCowan and Mrs Donaldson; Miss Otley and Miss Righton; Miss Armstrong and Miss Hooper; Miss Venables and Mrs Fennell; Mrs Ker another. The draw for Saturday will be: Miss Nankivell and Mrs Winstone; Mrs Jarrett and Mrs Otley; Mrs Pearse and Mrs Wilson; Mrs Burke and Mrs Suckling; Mrs Stone and Mrs Connell; Mrs Hay and Miss Warren; Miss Campbell and Miss Le Lievre; Mrs Ker and Miss Wilson; Miss Suckling and Miss Otley; Miss McLeod and Miss Gartshore; Miss Hobson and Miss Hancock.
The winners of the August Medals were : Mrs Dawson 96—19, 77; Miss Righton 102—34, 68 and Mrs Ker 16.
