Provide the best of your fresh spring paddocks for your milkers and ration new growth by “on and off” grazing until ample grass is available. 2. Feed hay and silage until cows refuse to eat it any longer. 3. Plan your hay and silage areas for next harvest but harrow the paddocks selected prior to closing. 4. Rear additional heifer calves from good cows this coming season and so build up your herd with good stock.
