PETER DAWSON
The making of 3,000 different gramophone recordings and to find the public demand for them so intense that the staggering total of 12,000,000 have been sold throughout the world is an amazing feat to which Peter Dawson ’ alone can lay claim. It is a performance not equalled by any artist and speaks volumes for the widespread popularity of “The world’s greatest gramophone personality.” But apart altogether from his magnificent voice, the great baritone's wonderful charm of manner and his exceptional gift of anecdote places him on the highest pinnacles as a stage attraction.
Accompanying Peter Dawson on his present New Zealand tour is Clar ence Black, the gifted young Sydney pianist and together they cannot fail to thrill New Zealand audiences.
The whole world loves the rollicking human songs of the sea and songs of life which have become almost a part of the name Peter Dawson, and record audiences are certain to be the order of the day, during the present all too brief tour.
