THE GAME OF CHESS
EDGECUMBE CLUB INTERESTS In ladder matches members of the Edgecumbe Chess Club now hold the following positions: A. Marx, E. Rogers, J. Harris, R. Thompson, A. Teesdale, P. Melville, R. Mundy, K. Marx, V. Marx, P. Cristall, L. Martin, L. Cristall, T. Briggs, D. Campbell, B. Palmes, P. Simpson. Some of the players at the bottom of the ladder are there not through lack of skill but inability to take part in competitions. The Club invites players and those interested in learning chess to come to their evenings held in Mr Free’s dining rooms each Wednesday.
