PLUNKET SOCIETY

WHAKATANE BRANCH MEETING The July meeting of the Whakatane Branch of the Plunget Society was held at Mrs L. King’s residence recently. Present were Mesdames Cairns (chair), Kingsley-Smith, Jessop, Morpeth, King, Roach, Knights, Spring, Patterson, Dainton, Zinsli, and Caisley (secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Shapley and. Morgan. The Nurse’s report for the month of June was received, together with a statement 'from Head Office, regarding the closing of the Plunket rooms on Saturdays. The balance sheets were received from. Opotiki, Taneatua and Rangitaiki Plains subbranches. It was intimated that the annual meeting would take place in August. Votes of thanks to Mrs King, and to the chair concluded the meeting. The next monthly meeting will be held on Monday, August 5 at 2.30 p.m. at the Plunket Rooms.
