On Monday a social evening was held in the Red Cross rooms, when Miss Hadfield gave a short talk on the aims and objects of the Junior Red Cross movement. She was welcomed by Mrs W. Kingsley-Smith, Scout Commissioner.
Miss Hadfield said she would like to see an enlargement of the Junior movement in the form of Social Clubs, or something similar. Mr C. A dainty supper served by the Red Cross Voluntary Aids brought the evening to a close. Mrs A. Winstone accompanied Miss Hadfield on her visits to the schools, as she is taking over (protem) the position of J.R.C. organiser in the area, following the resignation of Mrs N. Semmens.
