Atom-Powered Rockets to Moon
Mr R. L. Farnsworth, president of the United States Rocket Society, told the press that Army Air Force reports on the practicability of atomic energy for aeroplane propulsion should result in rockets reaching the moon within two years. He added that atomic power made planes of great size perfectly feasible. The next step was interplanetary rockets atom-powered.
