There are millions of rats in this country and they are increasing. PREVENT! DESTROY! - Keep all food and waste in ' rat-proof containers.* Remove all rubbish from the yard. Fill rat burrows with concrete which incorporates broken glass. Scatter powdered glass along the rat run-way. Keep changing your methods. Use dogs and cats, or traps, or poison (e.g. barium carbonate or one of the newer poisons.) Fumigation may be necessary where burrowing is extensive.
