WHAKATANE PAPER MILLS TEMPORARY COAL SHORTAGE Owing to the normal coal supply to the Whakatane Paper Mills being diverted to the Chelsea Sugar Refinery the Mill closed down this morning for an indefinite period until the shipping position from the West Qpast improves. It is hoped to be able to commence operations again by August 4. In the meantime a, standby staff will be maintained.
