NEWTON’S CLEARING SALE The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co. Ltd. Whakatane, report on the clearing sale on account of Mr S. F. Newton held last Wednesday at Stanley Road, Waingarara. The cows came forward in good condition, and were submitted to a representative bench 6f buyers from Opotiki and Whakatane. The herd of 82 cows were sold for the satisfactory average of £l2 10s and heifers for £9 12s 6d. Best July calvers £ls to 16; others £l3 to £l4 10s; August .calvers £l3 to £ls 10s; others to £l2 10s; heifers £9 to £11; breeding sows £3 10s to £5; store pigs J.o 275.
