NEW APPOINTMENTS

SCHOOL TEACHING STAFF At the last meeting of the Whakatane School Committee, advice as to new appointments to the teaching staff of the Whakatane District High School was received from the Education Department. The letter confirmed the appointment as relieving teacher commencing from the begining of the second term of Miss England, as'Assistant in the Secondary Department in place of Miss Irvine who has obtained a permanent appointment, pending the appointment of a successor to Miss KemDle. Miss N. W. Chambers and Mrs R. Hogg, the letter concluded, were to assist in the work of the school, pending the appointment of new Grade A 5 Secondary Assistants in place of Miss Ross and Miss Wells.
