MEETING AT THORNTON The Thornton Women’s Institute held its meeting in tbe on June , 13, Mrs Robb presiding. Some original and helpful suggestions came from the roll call “How to amuse a convalescent child.” After some discussion it was decided to hold a social evening in the hall on Saturday,. Members present were very interested in Mrs Rushbrooke’s enlightening talk on ’Gardening’ and her two delightful songs were much appreciated. Mrs Sumner gave a talk on home nursing and her useful and practical ideas were of great interest to all present.
