The following figures for the month of May were laid before the meeting of the Whakatane Hospital Board yesterday: Patients in hospital at May Ist 39 (36 males, 53 females); admissions for month 159 (63, 96); discharges 156 (51, 105); deaths 2 (2 male); remaining in at end month 90 ((46, 44); births 33 (20, 13). Operations major 11, minor 65. Daily average 102.-77.
