NO COMPLAINTS

WHAKATANE HOSPITAL Messrs. L. Buddie and C. A. Suckling visiting committee for May from the Hospital Board, reported at yesterday’s meeting on their visit to the institution. Both claimed that all patients they interviewed, had only the fullest praise for the treatment, attention and the food. The whole visit had been most encouraging and they felt that they should pass the warm tributes they had received on to the Sisters concerned. They recommended that attention be given to the repainting of the passage ceiling which they described as dingy and in urgent need of attention. Both members emphasised the need for a lady to visit the women’s ward and annexe in order to obtain a correct impression. Mr Buddie stated that it was most unfortunate that there were no lady members on the Board who could carry out this work. The new visiting committee appointed were Messrs. Burt and Caulfield. “
