Hospital Vegetable Contract

At yesterday’s meeting of the Whakatane Hospital Board, the new agreement made by the Finance Committee with Mr A. N. Marsh for the supply of vegetables to the institution was ratified. Mr Marsh will take over the gardens and commence his contract on August 1.

Operations Hampered Although Monday’s gale interfering with the power supply hampered operations at the Rangitaiki Plains Dairy Co., at Edgecumbe, it did not upset the output. Despite some ten or twelve shutdowns, the small ft quantity of cream being handled enabled the whole amount to be put through satisfactorily.
