WHAKATANE GOLF CLUB The Four-ball Best-ball Bogey played last Saturday resulted in a win for L. B. Smith and C. R. West with a score of 5 up. A team of 24 Whakatane players visited Rotorua during the weekend for an inter-club match, the majority of the games resulting in wins for the home team. The return match will be played at Whakatane in September. On Saturday next the first rounds of the Clarke and Reynolds Cups will be played; those not in tlic-e competitions will play a Stablofcrd Bogey. Sunday. 16: Mrs Anderson and Mrs Moulden; Miss Walker and Mrs Goodwin; Mrs Mcßride and MrsCaldwell. The June Medal resulted: B Grade, Mrs Thomas 97—19, 78; Mrs Goodwin 103 —25 ; 78, Mrs Thomas winning on tbe count back. x •? C Grade, Mrs Moulded 119. The Eclectic competition played recently resulted: B Grade, Mrs Balfour 132 (nett); C Grade, Mi’s Moulden 217.
