OHOPE SURF CLUB

WITH the return of normal times, and the restoration of unrationed petrol for the travelling public there is every likelihood of Ohope Beach becoming the same popular rendezvous throughout the summer months, it was in pre-war days. With this in view old members of that very useful organisation ‘the Ohope Surf Club’, many of whom have returned from service overseas, are seriously considering re-forming the organisation this winter in order that it may -be available for beach patrolling during the summer. Members eligible must be between the ages of 18 and 25 for training. Most of the gear and plant of the club is still intact including reels and lines. The club can be certain of the fullest public support as in the past and members may rest assured that their reappearance after the war recess will be warmly welcomed.
