Stealing of Bicycles According to Police reports, the stealing of bicycles is once again on the increase. The number of thefts reported during the past few weeks shows that this type of offence is becoming more prevalent again after the sharp decline several months ago. In some cases, the audacity displayed in the course of stealing a cycle far exceeds that of a person removing one from a stand. Reports have been received of machines having been removed during the night from back yards and sheds. The police are at present investigating a number of cases.
