NURSES ENTERTAIN
SUCCESSFUL DANCE HELD LARGE CROWD ATTENDS A large attendance of dancers from all parts of the district was present at the dance sponsored by the Whakatane Registered Nurses’ Association, held in the Caledonian Hall on Wednesday evening. Dr. Dawson, who once again filled the role of M.C. in a very popular fashian was responsible for the continuity of the evening, and to his credit, let it be said that the evening was one of the most enjoyable of its type this season. The Premier Band supplied good music, and dancers needed no encouragement to take the floor at the commencement of each number. Supper, much of which was homecooked, was very tasty and excellently served. Two Monte Cai-los were won by Mr and Mrs L. McCi-eady, and- Miss Venables and Mr Rae.
