WHAKATANE CITIZENS TROOP ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING' The annual meeting of the Whakatane Citizens Boy Scout Troop was held recently, a number of parents and supporters being in attendance. In presenting his report the chairman, Mr C. Zinsli, stated that the ground covered in the preceding year had been considerable, rallies, camps and meetings being held. He extended his thanks for assistance and co-operation received in this respect. County Commissioner, C. King-sley-Smith, attended the meeting and congratulated the committee and boys on the splendid work throughout the year, also on their .financial position. District Commissioner Mathews outlined the work of the Troop for the ensuing year endorsing the previous speaker’s remarks. At this juncture County Commissioner Kingsley-Smith presented Scoutmaster Hughes with his S.M. warrant also asking him to accept a gift from the committee for himself and Cubmaster Hughes for their valuable services while residing in Whakatane. A vote of thanks were passed to Mr Good, auditor. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:— Patron: Mr B. S. Barry. President: Mr C. Zinsli. Secretary: Mrs Ms. insli. cw Secretary: Mrs M. Zinsli. Committee: Messrs. D. McLeay, P. Dixon and P. J. Green and Mesdames Goodall, Dixon, Windley and Taylor.
