Dr. Edwin F. Bowers in his book “Alcohol, Its Influence on Mind and Body,” states: “Alcohol is always a poison, as morphine, nicotine, cocaine and opium. Alcohol has exactly the same effect as ether, chloroform and chloralhydrate. It is a true narcotic poison.” Inserted by Bay of Plenty S.D.A. Temperance Society.
