A NATURAL SUPPLY MANY UNDERGROUND STREAMS Few residents of the Heads ar< aware that beneath the land upoi which** their houses are built is i water supply contained in numerou underground streams which pou into the ocean at the rate of thous ands of gallons per day, sufficien and more, in fact, to give th whole of that area an ample an lasting supply. This water emanates from numer ous springs in the hills overlookih the Heads. In the area at the en( past the Harbourmaster’s residenci just before the commencement c the beach, some six or eight well dc fined streams at a depth of probabl less than 20 feet exist.
