GIFT EVENING DANCE A very well attended gift evening washeld last Thursday in the Waimana Hall, the guest of honour being Miss Nola Wardlaw, who is to be married shortly. The music was supplied by Mr and Mrs King, Mrs Martin, Miss McConnell, Miss Agni&s Ruff and Mr McGilwray. Mr Angus made a most efficient M.C. and kept the dance going with a swing, the Lancers which were included in the programme being particularly enjoyed. The Monte Carlo Waltz was won by Mr and Mrs W. Reid and Mrs G. Mitchell and partner. During the evening Mr C. Wylde, on behalf of those present, asked the principal guests to accept the many useful and valuable gifts with their best wishes for the years to come. Mr Menzies on behalf of Miss Wardlaw, thanked Mr Wylde for his kind remarks and everyone for the beautiful gifts and most enjoyable gyening accorded them. The dance concluded at midnight with the National Anthem.'
