SUPPLY AUTHORITIES TO MEET Approximately twenty supply authorities of electric power throughout the Auckland district will meet this afternoon at » 2 p.m. at Hamilton, to protest ' against the proposed Government action to cut the quotas of electricity supplied to rural areas, in order to increase the amount despatched to the cities of Auckland and Wellington. The meeting is being convened by the Chairman of the Central, Power Board, Hamilton, and it is understood that all authorities, with the natural exception of Auckland will be against this latest move. Representatives from Whakatane will consist of Mr F, W. Lysaght, Borough Electrical Engineer, and one member of the Council, Mr R. Morpeth. Representing the Bay of Plenty Power Board, will be Mr Dicker, and the Board Chairman.
