LADIES’ GOLF

At the annual general meeting of the Whakatane Ladies’ Golf Club it was decided to revert to Wednesday as Ladies’ Club day. Those unable to play on Wednesdays must hand their names to the secretary and provision will be made for their games and matches to be played on Saturdays. There will be no draw and no competition this week and those playing this Wednesday are asked to make provision for their own •afternoon tea. From now on the ladies draw will appear in Monday’s issue of the Beacon instead of Friday. A ladies’ committee meeting will be held in the clubhouse after play •on Saturday, May 4.
