W.E.A. Lecture Course
At the last meeting of the Borough Counci£ ;t&e Clerk request from the Local Discussion Group W.E.A. for the use of the Council Chambers at lunch time for one week during May for the purpose of a lecture course. It was resolved that the Chambers be made available free of charge provided any necessary cleaning received attention.
Electricity Charges At the last meeting of the Borough Council it was resolved that with regard to domestic supply of electricity, that from April 1, the charge be reduced from 25 units monthly at 4d nett balance at l|d nett to 12 units mdnthly at 4d nett balance at nett.
Power Supply Overloaded In his report to the Borough Council, the Electrical Engineer, Mr F. W. Lysaght, at the last meeting, stated that the power position as regards loading was very difficult, the Council’s present load being considerably over the allowance. The load despatches he said, had requested an immediate reduction, or failing this, the supply would have to be cut daily.
