SERVICE DOCTORS
if CANNOT FIND WORK Many doctors who have returned to civilian life are finding the utmost difficulty in securing jobs, and their plight is becoming serious and in need of urgent consideration, according to Dr. Alfred Welply, secretary of the Medical Practitioners' Union of Great Britain. The Union recently put before Mr Be van, Health Minister, a comprehensive plan for the resettlement of ex-Service doctors and have been seeking an interview with him on the subject.
Very Serious
"So far the Ministry are doing nothing," said Dr. Welply. "Men are ■coining to me every day complaining; that they cannot find work, and if a large number are to be released shortly from the Service, the situation will become very serious for those who, have no practice to return to, or are not in partnership with .someone who carried on during their absence. "It is a problem which calls for immediate action to get some scheme for resettlement."
