WHAKATANE BOWLING CLUB . ; WEEKEND GAMES . - A number of enjoyable games'took place at the Whakatane Bowling Club’s greens at Apanui during the weekend, a number of bowlers being attracted to the rinks. The following results were recorded:— C. White, Baxter ana Smoljan fs) 26 beat Spong, Warner and Caisley (s) 14; C. A. Head, Bigelow and Loane 21 tied with Compton, Comer and Grant 21; Sims, West, Alexander and Luxton 25 beat J. Murphy, Bennett, Hellyar and Henderson 22; Riddell, Wilson and Pearson 23 beatsCampbell, Butler and King 18. Smith Stars Smith, Good, Berg and Darvill (holders) 20 lost to Morpeth, G. Head and Harris (s) 20.
