WAIMANA NEWS

GIFT EVENING MISS EILEEN ADDISON A very pleasant gift evening was held in the Waimana Hall recently for Miss Eileen Addison, who was married on March 14. The Waimana Orchestra supplied the dance music and Mr A. Wardlaw obliged with extras. Mr Des Woolfield acted as M.C. and Mr C. Such was doorkeeper. After supper, Mr Robert Wardlaw on behalf of all present, asked Miss Addison to come forward and accept the many gifts from all present with their best wishes for the future. Mr Bob Bell, on behalf of Miss Addison, thanked all for the gifts and pleasant evening sponsored for them. Mr Bell invited all to come and visit them when settled in their home at Nukuhou North (but not all at the same time).

The assembly then joined in singing “For They Are Jolly Good Fellows” and dancing continued until midnight.
