PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING - - # The monthly meeting of the Whakatane Branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Plunket Rooms on Monday, February 4 at 8 p.m. Present were Mrs Cairns (Chair), and Mesdames King, Dainton, Zinsli, Morpeth, Roach and Caisley (Secretary). Apologies were received from Mesdames Timbs Snr., Morgan, Kingsley-Smith, Shapley, Jes Sop, Patterson, Spring. and Knights. The Nurse’s report covering the months of December and January was read and confirmed. It was resolved that the annual Garden Party be held at Mrs Knights’ residence and that the usual competitions, a baby competition in classes up to two year olds be run.

It was decided to hold the street appeal for 1946 on Friday, November 22 in the Strand and at Kopeopeo. The meeting closed with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
