CROQUET
FIRST ROUND OF HELLYAR CUP
Taneatua, the holders of the Hcllyar Cup, were challenged by Whakatane and the first game of the first round was played on the Tane,atua greens recently. The holders were defeated by two games to one after some very enjoyable play. Following were the results, Taneatua names being mentioned first:— Mrs Marsden and Mrs Bennett 17 v Mrs Comer and Loane 26. Mrs Hayward and Mrs Hill 22 v Mrs Hellyar and Mrs Boon 26. Mrs Grace, and Mrs Sisam 26 \ Mrs Creeke and Mrs Burgess 21.
