The challenge from Opotiki for the Billiards Ltd. Snooker Cup which was played last week resulted in a win for Whakatane (holders). Rcr suits were as follows Whakatane names being mentioned first in each case:— i Keepa 48 lost to Herewini 51; McGarvey 55 beat Peneuki 41; J. Thomson 54 beat Ponto 39; C. Thomson 20 lost to Hayes 70; Kecsing 44 beat Jumbo 37;. Davis 50 beat Huni 11.
