VOLUNTEERS FOR JAPAN
N.Z. OCCUPATION FORCE Volunteers are required for service OA 7 erseas Avith the New Zealand Brigade forming part of the British Commomvealth Occupation Force in Japan.
Volunteers will be accepted on the basis of service for a period of 18 or prior dicharge. It will be the aim to limit total senvice to a period of 12 months’ service with a minimum of G months 7 ' service in Japan t but this will de-
pend upon shipping facilities. Rates of pay will be the same as for the 2nd. N.Z.E.F. including deferred pay and gratuity. Volunteers must lie between the ages of 20 and 4.0 (inclusive), but men under the age of 21 must present a written parental consent Avitncssed by a Justice of the Peace. Both single and married men 'will be accepted but preference will be given to single men. The medical standard is the same a& for the 2nd N.Z.E.F.
