Dense Smoke Troubles Motorists

The large fire in the vicinity of Wilson’s Mill has been responsible for dense clouds of smoke pouring down the valley between Te Whaiti and Murupara and motorists report that it is causing considerable annoyance.

Gatekeepers Wanted for Show Gatekeepers are urgently wanted for the forthcoming Victory Show to be held at the Whakatane Domain Grounds on February 20. Show Working Bees

A reminder is issued, to members of the A. & P. Society that important working bees in connection with the preparation of the Show Grounds take place on Februarj? 15 and 19.
