SOUTH AUCKLAND ‘B* CUP
OPOTIKI VERSUS TANEATUA
A most enjoyable day. was spent on the Taneatua croquet greens recently when a challenge from Opo|tiki for the South Auckla ‘R’ Gup was contested. Taneatua, the holders, retained the cup by a substantial margin although all games were keenly contested. The Taneatua ladies after entertained the visitors to morning,tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Following are the results of the games:—
Morning: Mesdames Marsden and Bennett 26 Mesdames Maddren and v _ ‘9 Skelton 17. Mesdames Hayward and Hill 26, Mesdames Chatfield and J oh* son 20.
Afternoon: Mesdames Marsden and Bennett 26, Mesdames Maddren and Skelton 16.
Mesdames Hayward and Hill 26, Mesdames Chatfield and Johnson 22.
