TAXATION EXEMPTIONS The Ohu'ra branch of Southern King Country sub-province sent forward as a remit to last Executive meeting of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union (Auckland Province) “That the Commissioner of Taxes be requested to allow deductions for taxation purposes the cost of, dog special equipment and harness etc. expended by shepherds and like farm workersc. from their salaries and wages as arc in force today.” Several speakers stressed the fact that losses under the headings mentioned were sometimes very substantial. It was decided to support the remit.
