BREEDING BULLS

TESTS FOR FERTILITY i. ■' RESULTS NOT INFALLIBLE “That all breeding hulls be tested for breeding purposes before being offered for sale” was a remit from the Southern King Country sub-pro-vince considered at last Provincial "Executive meeting of the N.Z. Partners’ Union (Auckland Province) . Mr Hodgson pointed out that testing as carried out by the RuaJtura Animal Research Station could aiot be accepted as a guarantee of. fertility although results were quite good. Mr Scott Davidson expressed the view that the only recourse was for farmers to buy only from a reliable breeder who would consider it a personal liability to replace where he had inadvertently sold an animal that proved to be infertile. The meeting accepted this view and it was decided to reply accordingly.
