EXTENSION ANNOUNCED
REH ABi LIT ATI ON FACILITIES An extension of the policy of. decentralisation in the educational fjelil is announced by the Rehabilitation Department. From the beginning of February authority to grant study facilities in accountancy and secretarial, banking and insurance work through private correspondence and coaching schools has been vested in district rehabilitation officers and also in the rehabilitation officers at Palmerston North, Whangarei, Gis- *•- Wanganui, Timaru and Grevmonth.
Previously such students who did not tind. it expedient to attend technical and university colleges had to have their applications to study with private institutions approved in Wellington. The new amplified local authority will allow of more expeditious and personal attention to applications.
