TANEATUA -A RISING TOWN
THE consolidation of the farming community in Opouriao, and the success the venture known as the Kuatoki Native'Scheme have combined to bring Taneatua to the fore in recent years. The town has been aided m this respect by the energy and enterprise of the residents who have set a fine example by way of their war-time patriptic efforts ; their annual Sports Gymkhana, and finally their own celebrations following the fim. .. m ->t'ce. The progressive Taneatua Businessmen’s Committee which k as keen mainly responsible has added further to its laurels by the:.ina^uration over the Christmas and the New Year holiday of a remarkably successful carnival, whereby the town re.mame the one and only bright spot in the Eastern Bay over Christmas and New Year- Nor will the effort for it is the intention of this unwritten Chambei of Com merce, to do progressively greater m the futur « Thp is ‘A Brighter Tanecitu3/ , and from tions we° have already noted we have no reason to c.oubt that this will be fully achieved.
