Hot Dry Wind
The hot dry wind which blew continuously yesterday was an aggravation of the parched conditions of the surrounding countryside. The Rangitaild Plains are .suffering severely owing to the lack of moisture and in many parts paddocks usually carrying a lush green sward at this time of the year are practically reduced to dust.
