Production Halved

One farmer from the Te Telco disr trict reports that the drought has cut his butterfat production figures by more than half. Milking the same herd last season as he is this season his production was then 100 lbs fat per day. This year, it has dropped to 441hs fat per day. The effects of the drought have been less noticeable in other cases, ihe Native Department was this season able to send away its usual drafts of fat lambs, the only difference being that each was three or four lbs lighter than those sent in normal years.
