Wainui Deviation Road.

In a letter to the Whakatane County Council, the Minister of Public Works intimates that a survey of the whole of the route of the Wainui deviation would be carried out in the near future. Further that the work of construction would be given a high priority in the pos-t war programme. The chairman (Mr J. L. Burnett) said he was very gratified to receive the information as the job was expected to cost £20,000.
