Many enjoyable games Look place at the Whakatane Bowling Club’s greens at Apanui over the weekend, when the continued fine weather served to attract a large number of bowlers. The following- results were recorded:—

Head, Grant and Howat (s) 19 drew with Campbell A. Rutherford, Korrutli and Chamberlain (s) 19; .1. Bell, Martin and Pearson (s) 25 beat E. J. Bell, Mitchell and Luxton (s) 11; Ryall, Riddell Hooper and Hancock (s) 21 beat R. F. Smith, W. Baxter, A. C. Shaw and Harris (s) 17; Sims, Nuln Purcell and Burgess (s) 17 drew with Spong, Cockerell, Oswald and Caisley (s) 17; Sumner, Salmon, Smoljan and Darvill (s) 19 heat Murphy, Rutherford, Coates and King (s) 15.
