CLAY BIRD SHOOT
ANNIVERSARY DAY PROGRAMME
WHAKATANE ROD X GUN CLUB
Now that the difficulty ex per ten c,ed in obtaining equipment and a suitable ground in which to hold clay bird .shoots bad been overcome it was decided at a recent executive meeting of the Whakatane Rod and Gun Club to hold the first club shoot on January 29 (Anniversary Day) on Mr E. Emery’s property. With regard to this, a full programme will be advertised later, and spectators and competitors' alike will be welcome to attend. Hot water will be provided free of charge and cartridges will be available on the ground. The Opotiki Club also w r i 11 he holding an open shoot on January 27 at Opotiki and the Whakatane Club expects to send over a number of shooters to uphold its. reputation. Full particfilars regarding both shoots can be obtained from the Whakatane Club Secretary.
