Local Spotting Spirit
Proof of the. fact that the sporting spirit within Whakatane is very much alive is shown by the fact that a total of seven Aeams, each consisting of seven business girls have been entered for the marching competition to be held in connection with the Queen Carnival Sports meeting at Ohope on Anniversary Day. That a total of 19 girls from a town of this size should be ready and willing to compete is certainly a tribute to the sporting fraternity.
