WAIMANA v UNITED

VICTORY FOR VISITORS On Sunday last United played Waimana at Waimana. Waimana won the toss and elected to bat first D. Boynton and R. Ax tens being the opening batsmen. Boynton put up a good display of hard hitting and vory soon had 70 on the board against Him before being caught bj' McKenzie who also bowled to him. Axtens and Boynton pm 70 runs up before Axtens was'bowled by W. J. McKenzie. These two formed a good partnership and scored practically half the runs lor Waimana. S. McConnell then came on and batted well before being bowled by W. Crawford. E. Wells replaced McConnell and in tu— caught by L. Roach. The next seven wickets fell for a total of 35 runs and Waimana were all out for 140 runs.

L. K. Spring and N. E. Rigden were the opening batsmen for United. Twenty-one runs were scored before Rigden Avas caught by G. Mtiehell bowled by J. Ruff. Crawford next man in Avas unlucky enough to be bowled first ball by N. Menzies. W. J. McKenzie then came on to bat. Spring was bowled next over by J. Ruff and A. Fisher came on to bat. McKenzie and Fisher formed a good partnership ami scored 63 runs between them before McKenzie Avas caught by H. Ruff be-
