Opportunity was taken of tbe local body gathering in the County Chambers last Tuesday by the Mayor, Mr B. S. Barrj'. to extend his congratulations of the Borough to Mr J. L. Burnet" for the recent honour conferred upon him by His Majesty the King. Responding, Mr Burnett said that while he was very proud of his new distinction he regarded the award as coining to the district as a whole. There were many others who had worked in Patriotic and other interests during the war as hard as be.
